Workshop Description: “Trees Without Leaves: A Day of Painting Winter Trees with Scott Euden”
Join us for an inspiring day of artistic exploration with Scott Euden, renowned for his signature style of capturing Trees Without Leaves. This workshop invites you to dive into the raw beauty of winter landscapes as Scott shares his unique approach to painting bare trees and stark scenery. Using a range of mixed media—paints, inks, charcoals, and pastels—you’ll learn to blend acrylics with inks, layer textures, and experiment boldly with colours, shadows and shapes.
Scott will guide you step-by-step through his hands-on, creative process, from creating the initial framework to adding dimension with various media. It’s all about freedom, experimentation, and having fun on the page. Expect an informal, engaging atmosphere with plenty of chat and guidance along the way. Scott’s passion for his work will inspire you to let go and explore your own style, building confidence in your abilities and discovering new techniques as you go.
Whether you’re a beginner or an aspiring painter, this workshop is a chance to lose yourself in the joy of creating. Come prepared to get messy, enjoy the journey, and see the world through Scott’s unique lens of winter landscapes.
Artist / Maker / Tutor:
Scott Euden is a Welsh artist focused on Landscape/Seascape painting and recreating the sublime beauty of the natural landscape. A dynamic approach to diverse subject matter, intuitive mark-making and an unconventional interpretation in acrylics from observation, experience and memory.
Scott creates compelling images of the ‘natural’ landscape in Wales and works toward private commissions and public exhibitions. He is also a very popular art tutor and runs two weekly art sessions at Beth Morris Workshops. Scott’s ‘Future Artist’ class for teens and his adult ‘Landscape Painting’ class is always full. So, if you were hoping to join one of those, but not been lucky so far, this is your chance to do a full days workshop with the man himself.
Scott’s most recent shows include:
Group exhibition at London Welsh Centre for Draw: Wales Sketchbook Project (part of the Wales Week London annual event)
Group exhibition ‘Pages From A Book’ at the Hearth Gallery in Cardiff
What is included in the ticket price?
All art supplies but you are welcome to bring your own along too if you prefer.
Tea, coffee and biscuits.
Where will the workshops take place?
In Beth’s studio at Insole Court, Cardiff.
Please read all the T’s and C’s before booking.
